Description
S100A8, also known as S100A8 isoform d. S100A8 is a member of the S100 family, EF-hand superfamily of Calcium binding proteins. S100A8 protein is localized in the cytoplasm and/or nucleus of a wide range of cells, and involved in the regulation of a number of cellular processes such as cell cycle progression and differentiation. It functions both intracellularly and extracellularly, where it binds to RAGE and CD36. Altered expression of this protein is associated with the disease cystic fibrosis. Recombinant human S100A8, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, fused to Myc-tag at C-terminus, was expressed in E. coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.Alternative Names
60B8AG, CAGA, CFAG, CGLA, CP-10, L1Ag, MA387, MIF, MRP8, NIF, P8Concentration
1mg/ml (determined by Bradford assay)Concentration
Liquid in. 20mM Tris-HCl buffer (pH 8.0) containing 10% glycerol, 0.1M NaClStorage: Can be stored at +2C to +8C for 1 week. For long term storage, aliquot and store at -20C to -80C. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing cycles.
