Description
SARS (Seryl-tRNA synthetase, cytoplasmic) belongs to the class-II aminoacyl-tRNA synthetase family. Aminoacyl-tRNA synthetases function to catalyze the aminoacylation of tRNAs by their corresponding amino acids, thus linking amino acids with tRNA-contained nucleotide triplets. This enzyme catalyzes the attachment of serine to tRNA (Ser). It is probably able to aminoacylate tRNA (Sec) with serine, to form the misacylated tRNA L-seryl-tRNA (Sec), which will be further converted into selenocysteinyl-tRNA (Sec). Recombinant human SARS protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E. coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.Alternative Names
Seryl-tRNA synthetase, SERRS, SERSConcentration
0.5mg/ml (determined by Bradford assay)Concentration
Liquid in. 20mM Tris-HCl buffer (pH 8.0) containing 1mM DTT, 10% glycerol, 100mM NaClStorage: Can be stored at +2C to +8C for 1 week. For long term storage, aliquot and store at -20C to -80C. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing cycles.
