Description
SIRPG, also known as signal-regulatory protein gamma isoform 1, is a member of a closely related family of three cell surface receptors implicated in modulating immune/inflammatory responses. It is the only SIRP known to be expressed on T cells, CD56 bright NK cells and activated NK cells. Expression of SIRPG on T cells suggests a role as an accessory protein interacting with CD47‑expressing antigen presenting cells. Engagement of CD47 by SIRPG was shown to induce apoptosis on T-cell and monocyte cell lines. Recombinant human SIRPG, fused to hIgG-His-tag at C-terminus, was expressed in insect cell and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.Alternative Names
