Description
Small nuclear ribonucleoprotein polypeptide F, also known SNRPF, belongs to the snRNP Sm proteins family. There are at least seven isoforms, E, F, G, D1, D2, D3 and B/B. This class of common proteins plays an essential role in the biogenesis of the snRNPs. In addition, these proteins represent the major targets for the so-called anti-Sm auto-antibodies which are diagnostic for systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). SNRPF aid in the cytoplasmic construction of the usnRNPs by binding to aconserved Sm site on usnRNA and forming a stable snRNP core complex. Recombinant human SNRPF protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E. coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.Alternative Names
Small nuclear ribonucleoprotein polypeptide F, Sm-F, SMF, PBSCFConcentration
1mg/ml (determined by Bradford assay)Concentration
Liquid in. 20mM Tris-HCl buffer (pH 8.0) containing 1mM DTT, 10% glycerol, 1mM EDTAStorage: Can be stored at +2C to +8C for 1 week. For long term storage, aliquot and store at -20C to -80C. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing cycles.
