Description
TAF9, also known as TATA box binding protein (TBP) -associated factor, is a general transcription factor that facilitates the preinitiation complex assembly through direct interactions with the TATA promoter element. It is a multisubunit complex consisting of a small TATA-binding polypeptide and other TBP-associated factors (TAFs). It acts as a channel for regulatory signals. Recombinant human TAF9 protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E. coli and purified by using conventional chromatography.Alternative Names
