Description
TKT, also known as transketolase, is a thiamine-dependent enzyme which plays a role in the channeling of excess sugar phosphates to glycolysis in the pentose phosphate pathway. Multiple alternatively spliced variants, encoding the same protein, have been identified. Recombinant human TKT protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E. coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.Alternative Names
