Description
u2AF1 belongs to the splicing factor SR family of genes. u2 auxiliary factor, comprising a large and a small subunit, is a non-snRNP protein required for the binding of u2 snRNP to the pre-mRNA branch site. This protein is the small subunit which plays a critical role in both constitutive and enhancer-dependent RNA splicing by directly mediating interactions between the large subunit and proteins bound to the enhancers. Recombinant human u2AF1 protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E. coli.Alternative Names
u2 small nuclear RNA auxiliary factor 1, FP793, RN, RNu2AF1, Splicing factor u2AF 35 kDa subunit, u2 auxiliary factor 35 kDa subunit, RN, RNu2AF1, u2AF35, u2AFBPConcentration
1mg/ml (determined by Bradford assay)Concentration
Liquid in. 20mM Tris-HCl buffer (pH 8.0) containing 0.4M uREA, 10% glycerolStorage: Can be stored at +2C to +8C for 1 week. For long term storage, aliquot and store at -20C to -80C. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing cycles.
