Description
UBE2G2 also known as Ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme E2 G2 isoform 1. The modification of UBE2G2 with ubiquitin is an important cellular mechanism for targeting abnormal or short-lived proteins for degradation. Ubiquitination involves at least three classes of enzymes: ubiquitin-activating enzymes, or E1s, ubiquitin-conjugating enzymes, or E2s, and ubiquitin-protein ligases, or E3s. This gene encodes a member of the E2 ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme family. UBE2G2 is ubiquitously expressed, with high expression seen in adult muscle. Recombinant human UBE2G2, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E. coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.Alternative Names
Ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme E2 G2, E2 ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme G2, Ubiquitin carrier protein G2, Ubiquitin-protein ligase G2, UBC7Concentration
1mg/ml (determined by absorbance at 280nm)Concentration
Liquid in. Phosphate-Buffered Saline (pH 7.4) containing 10% glycerol, 1mM DTTStorage: Can be stored at +2C to +8C for 1 week. For long term storage, aliquot and store at -20C to -80C. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing cycles.
