Nucleobindin-2 (Nucb2) is a calcium-binding EF-hand protein. Nucb2 may be having a role in calcium homeostasis and multifunctional protein that interact with Ca (2+), nucleic acids and various regulatory proteins in different signaling pathways. In mouse brain, Nucb2 was localized in neuronal perikarya and dendrites. Recombinant mouse Nucb2 was expressed in E. coli and purified by conventional chromatography techniques.Alternative Names
