Description
Serpine2, as known as glia-derived nexin, is a member of the Serpin superfamily of the serine protease inhibitors. This protein is a potent inhibitor of thrombin, plasmin and plasminogen activators. It is differentially expressed during neuronal differentiation and is able to transform human embryonic kidney cells into neuron-like cells. Also, it is over expression in mice leads to progressive neuronal and motor dysfunction in these animals. Recombinant mouse Serpine2, fused to His-tag at C-terminus, was expressed in insect cell and purified by using conventional chromatography techniquesAlternative Names
