Background:
The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the RGS(regulator of G protein signaling) family. Members of the RGSfamily act as GTPase-activating proteins on the alpha subunits ofheterotrimeric, signal-transducing G proteins. This proteininhibits signal transduction by increasing the GTPase activity of Gprotein alpha subunits, thereby driving them into their inactiveGDP-bound form. Alternative splicing occurs at this locus and twotranscript variants encoding distinct isoforms have beenidentified.
Other Names:
Regulator of G-protein signaling 11, RGS11, RGS11
Gene Name: RGS11
Gene ID: 8786
Primary Accession: O94810
Format: Peptides are lyophilized in a solid powder format. Peptides can be reconstituted in solution using the appropriate buffer as needed.
