Description: Anti-Rhodopsin Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody . Tested in WB, IHC applications. This antibody reacts with Human, Rat.
Protein Function:
Photoreceptor required for image-forming vision at low light intensity. Required for photoreceptor cell viability after birth. Light-induced isomerization of 11-cis to all-trans retinal triggers a conformational change leading to G-protein activation and release of all-trans retinal.
Other Names: Rhodopsin, Opsin-2, RHO, OPN2
Clone Name(s):
Clone: AADI-18
Subcellular Localization: Membrane ; Multi-pass membrane protein. Synthesized in the inner segment (IS) of rod photoreceptor cells before vectorial transport to the rod outer segment (OS) photosensory cilia.
Tissue Specificity: Rod shaped photoreceptor cells which mediates vision in dim light.
Gene ID: 6010
Immunogen: A synthesized peptide derived from human Rhodopsin
Calculated MW: 38893
Purification: Affinity-chromatography
Format: Liquid
Contents: Rabbit IgG in phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4, 150mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, 0.4-0.5mg/ml BSA.
Concentration (mg/ml): Actual concentration vary by lot. Use suggested dilution ratio to decide dilution procedure.
Storage: Store at -20°C for one year. For short term storage and frequent use, store at 4°C for up to one month. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
