Background:
The protein encoded by this gene contains a RING finger, amotif known to be involved in protein-protein and protein-DNAinteractions. This protein was reported to interact with the tumorsuppressor protein RB1. Studies of the rat counterpart suggestedthat this protein may function as an E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase, and facilitate the ubiquitination and degradation of syntaxin 1,which is an essential component of the neurotransmitter releasemachinery.
Other Names:
E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase BRE1B, BRE1-B, 632-, 95 kDa retinoblastoma-associated protein, RBP95, RING finger protein 40, RNF40, BRE1B, KIAA0661
Gene Name: RNF40
Gene ID: 9810
Primary Accession: O75150
Format: Peptides are lyophilized in a solid powder format. Peptides can be reconstituted in solution using the appropriate buffer as needed.
