Background:
The protein encoded by this gene contains a RING-H2 fingermotif. Deletions and mutations in this gene were detected inesophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC), suggesting that thisprotein may be a potential tumor suppressor. Studies of the mousecounterpart suggested a role of this protein in the transcriptionregulation that controls germinal differentiation. Multiplealternatively spliced transcript variants encoding the same proteinare observed.
Other Names:
E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase RNF6, 632-, RNF6, SPG2
Gene Name: RNF6 {ECO:0000303|PubMed:10331950, ECO:0000312|HGNC:HGNC:10069}
Gene ID: 6049
Primary Accession: Q9Y252
Format: Peptides are lyophilized in a solid powder format. Peptides can be reconstituted in solution using the appropriate buffer as needed.
