Background:
This gene encodes a type I integral membrane protein foundonly in the rough endoplasmic reticulum. The encoded protein ispart of an N-oligosaccharyl transferase complex that links highmannose oligosaccharides to asparagine residues found in theAsn-X-Ser/Thr consensus motif of nascent polypeptide chains. Thisprotein forms part of the regulatory subunit of the 26S proteasomeand may mediate binding of ubiquitin-like domains to thisproteasome.
Other Names:
Dolichyl-diphosphooligosaccharide--protein glycosyltransferase subunit 1, Dolichyl-diphosphooligosaccharide--protein glycosyltransferase 67 kDa subunit, Ribophorin I, RPN-I, Ribophorin-1, RPN1
Gene Name: RPN1 (HGNC:10381)
Gene ID: 6184
Primary Accession: P04843
Format: Peptides are lyophilized in a solid powder format. Peptides can be reconstituted in solution using the appropriate buffer as needed.
