Protein Family: Receptors and Channels
Pathway and Disease: Cell Growth and Death, Nervous and Sensory Systems, Neurodegenerative Disorders, Signaling Molecules and Interaction
Description:
RTN3 (Reticulon 3) is a multi-pass membrane protein. The reticulons are a group of highly conserved proteins with preferential expression in neuroendocrine tissues. RTN3 may be involved in membrane trafficking in the early secretory pathway. RTN3 inhibits BACE1 activity and amyloid precursor protein processing, also may induce caspase-8 cascade and apoptosis. May favor BCL2 translocation to the mitochondria upon endoplasmic reticulum stress. In case of enteroviruses infection, RTN3 may be involved in the viral replication or pathogenesis.
Alternate Names: Reticulon-3, Neuroendocrine-specific protein-like 2, -like protein 2, Neuroendocrine-specific protein-like II, NSP-like protein II, NSPLII, ASYIP, NSPL2, RTN3
Application Notes: IF: 1:200-1:1000
Accession No.: O95197
Antigen: Purified recombinant fragment of RTN3 expressed in E. coli.
Format: Each vial contains 0.1 ml ascitic fluid with 0.03% sodium azide.
Storage:
Store at 4°C for short term use only. Store at -20°C for storage over 1 month. Product is guaranteed 6 months from the date of shipment.
