Background:
SEPHS1 is an enzyme that synthesizes selenophosphate from selenide and ATP. Selenophosphate is the selenium donor used to synthesize selenocysteine, which is co-translationally incorporated into selenoproteins at in-frame UGA codons.

Other Names:
Selenide, water dikinase 1, Selenium donor protein 1, Selenophosphate synthase 1, SEPHS1, SELD, SPS, SPS1

Target/Specificity:
The synthetic peptide sequence used to generate the antibody AP2787c was selected from the Center region of human SEPHS1. A 10 to 100 fold molar excess to antibody is recommended. Precise conditions should be optimized for a particular assay.

Gene Name: SEPHS1

Gene ID: 22929
Primary Accession: P49903
Format: Peptides are lyophilized in a solid powder format. Peptides can be reconstituted in solution using the appropriate buffer as needed.
