Background:
Two types of spliceosomes catalyze splicing of pre-mRNAs.The major U2-type spliceosome is found in all eukaryotes andremoves U2-type introns, which represent more than 99% of pre-mRNAintrons. The minor U12-type spliceosome is found in some eukaryotesand removes U12-type introns, which are rare and have distinctsplice consensus signals. The U12-type spliceosome consists ofseveral small nuclear RNAs and associated proteins. This geneencodes a 25K protein that is a component of the U12-typespliceosome.
Other Names:
U11/U12 small nuclear ribonucleoprotein 25 kDa protein, U11/U12 snRNP 25 kDa protein, U11/U12-25K, Minus-99 protein, SNRNP25, C16orf33
Target/Specificity:
The synthetic peptide sequence used to generate the antibody AP13582b was selected from the C-term region of SNR25. A 10 to 100 fold molar excess to antibody is recommended. Precise conditions should be optimized for a particular assay.
Gene Name: SNRNP25
Gene ID: 79622
Primary Accession: Q9BV90
Format: Peptides are lyophilized in a solid powder format. Peptides can be reconstituted in solution using the appropriate buffer as needed.
