Background:
This gene encodes a member of the sorting nexin family.Members of this family contain a phox (PX) domain, which is aphosphoinositide binding domain, and are involved in intracellulartrafficking. Overexpression of this gene results in a decrease inthe processing of insulin and hepatocyte growth factor receptors totheir mature subunits. This decrease is caused by themislocalization of furin, the endoprotease responsible for cleavageof insulin and hepatocyte growth factor receptors. This protein isinvolved in endosomal trafficking from the plasma membrane torecycling endosomes or the trans-Golgi network. This gene encodestwo transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms. [provided byRefSeq].
Other Names:
Sorting nexin-15, SNX15
Gene Name: SNX15
Gene ID: 29907
Primary Accession: Q9NRS6
Format: Peptides are lyophilized in a solid powder format. Peptides can be reconstituted in solution using the appropriate buffer as needed.
