AC-BP13170b
Background:
The signal sequence receptor (SSR) is a glycosylatedendoplasmic reticulum (ER) membrane receptor associated withprotein translocation across the ER membrane. The SSR consists of 2subunits, a 34-kD glycoprotein (alpha-SSR or SSR1) and a 22-kDglycoprotein (beta-SSR or SSR2). The human beta-signal sequencereceptor gene (SSR2) maps to chromosome bands 1q21-q23. [providedby RefSeq].
Other Names:
Translocon-associated protein subunit beta, TRAP-beta, Signal sequence receptor subunit beta, SSR-beta, SSR2, TRAPB
Target/Specificity:
The synthetic peptide sequence used to generate the antibody AP13170b was selected from the C-term region of SSR2. A 10 to 100 fold molar excess to antibody is recommended. Precise conditions should be optimized for a particular assay.
Gene Name: SSR2
Gene ID: 6746
Primary Accession: P43308
Format: Peptides are lyophilized in a solid powder format. Peptides can be reconstituted in solution using the appropriate buffer as needed.
