250281
Protein Family: Enzymes
Pathway and Disease: Infectious Diseases
Description:
Bacteria of the Streptococcus genera produce the exotoxin streptolysin. Anti-streptolysin antibody titers in patients are measured as a marker of inflammation. Streptolysin is also an important tool in cell biology due to its hemolytic activity and the ability to permeabilize plasma membranes. This antibody is specific for oxidized streptolysin but cross react to untreated streptolysin.
Alternate Names: Thiol-activated cytolysin, streptolysin
Application Notes: Product Cat. No. 250281 reacts weakly with cysteine chloride oxidized streptolysin directly coated onto the microtiter plate. E: 1:400
Accession No.: P014L0
Antigen: Cysteine chloride oxidized streptolysin
Format: Each vial contains 0.2 mg IgG in 0.2 ml (1 mg/ml) of PBS pH7.4 with 0.09% sodium azide. Antibody was purified by Protein-A/G affinity chromatography.
Storage:
Store at 4°C. Product is guaranteed 6 months from the date of shipment.
