Protein Family: Ubiquitins
Pathway and Disease: Folding, Sorting and Degradation
Alternate Names: Small ubiquitin-related modifier 1; Ubiquitin-like protein SMT3C; Ubiquitin-homology domain protein PIC1; Ubiquitin-like protein UBL1; Ubiquitin-related protein SUMO-1; GAP modifying protein 1; GMP1; Sentrin; SMT homolog 3; SUMO1; SMT3H3
Accession No.: P63165, NP_003343
Description:
SUMO1 is an ubiquitin-like protein which can be covalently attached to target lysines as a monomer. SUMO1 plays a role in a number of cellular processes such as nuclear transport, DNA replication and repair, mitosis and signal transduction.
Format:
Each vial contains 0.1 mg of lyophilized peptide. Reconstitute with 0.1 ml deionized water for a final concentration of 1 mg/ml. Use at 5.6 ug/ml for a 100X excess over antibody for maximum blocking effect.
MW: 2087.2 g/mol
Sequence:
The synthetic peptide used to raise the antibody Cat. No. 200129 is selected from a sequence within the C-term region of human SUMO1. For blocking experiments, a 10 to 100 fold molar excess to antibody is recommended.
Composition:
C84H135N25O33S2
Purity:
> 80% by HPLC
Solubility:
Distilled water for a solution up to 2 mg/ml, otherwise we recommend using acetonitrile.
Storage:
Store at -20°C. The product is hygroscopic and must be protected from light. Product is guaranteed one year from the date of shipment. Following reconstitution, store at -20°C.
