Background:
TIP120A enhances transcription from various types of promoters. It is regulatory protein that interferes with the assembly of the SCF (SKP1-CUL1-F-box protein) ubiquitin ligase complex and thereby down-regulates ubiquitination of target proteins. It prevents neddylation of CUL1 by physically blocking access to the neddylation site and disrupts interactions between CUL1 and SKP1A and between CUL1 and F-box proteins.
Other Names:
Cullin-associated NEDD8-dissociated protein 1, Cullin-associated and neddylation-dissociated protein 1, TBP-interacting protein of 120 kDa A, TBP-interacting protein 120A, p120 CAND1, CAND1, KIAA0829, TIP120, TIP120A
Target/Specificity:
The synthetic peptide sequence used to generate the antibody AP8519c was selected from the Center region of human TIP120A. A 10 to 100 fold molar excess to antibody is recommended. Precise conditions should be optimized for a particular assay.
Gene Name: CAND1
Gene ID: 55832
Primary Accession: Q86VP6
Format: Peptides are lyophilized in a solid powder format. Peptides can be reconstituted in solution using the appropriate buffer as needed.
