AC-BP13712b
Background:
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of theToll-like receptor (TLR) family which plays a fundamental role inpathogen recognition and activation of innate immunity. TLRs arehighly conserved from Drosophila to humans and share structural andfunctional similarities. They recognize pathogen-associatedmolecular patterns (PAMPs) that are expressed on infectious agents, and mediate the production of cytokines necessary for thedevelopment of effective immunity. The various TLRs exhibitdifferent patterns of expression. This gene is predominantlyexpressed in lung, placenta, and spleen, and lies in closeproximity to another family member, TLR8, on chromosome X.
Other Names:
Toll-like receptor 7, TLR7
Target/Specificity:
The synthetic peptide sequence used to generate the antibody AP13712b was selected from the C-term region of TLR7. A 10 to 100 fold molar excess to antibody is recommended. Precise conditions should be optimized for a particular assay.
Gene Name: TLR7 (HGNC:15631)
Gene ID: 51284
Primary Accession: Q9NYK1
Format: Peptides are lyophilized in a solid powder format. Peptides can be reconstituted in solution using the appropriate buffer as needed.
