Background:
DNA topoisomerases are nuclear enzymes that regulate the topological structure of DNA by transiently breaking and rejoining DNA strands. Although DNA topoisomerase I (Topo I) and Topo II relax both positive and negative supercoils, Topo III relaxes only negative supercoils. Topo IIIα exists as a long and a short isoform, which are produced by alternative splicing. Topo IIIα, which localizes to the nucleolus, is constitutively expressed and remains at high levels throughout the cell cycle in HL-60 cells. Topo IIIβ exists as three isoforms,β-1,β -2 and β-3, also produced by alternative splicing. Topo IIIβ-1 is expressed in testis, heart, and skeletal muscle, whereas Topo IIIβ-2 is expressed in thymus, kidney and pancreas.
Alternative Name:
DNA topoisomerase 3-alpha, DNA topoisomerase III alpha, TOP3A, TOP3
Application Dilution: WB: 1:500~1:1000
Specificity: TOP3A polyclonal antibody detects endogenous levels of TOP3A protein.
Immunogen:
A synthetic peptide corresponding to residues in Human TOP3A
MW: ~ 112 kDa
Swis Prot.: Q13472
Purification & Purity:
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen and the purity is > 95% (by SDS-PAGE).
Format:
1 mg/ml in Phosphate buffered saline (PBS) with 15 mM sodium azide, approx. pH 7.2.
Storage:
Store at 4°C short term. Aliquot and store at -20°C long term. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
For research use only, not for use in diagnostic procedure.
