Background:
The protein encoded by this gene is thought to be atranscriptional corepressor. However, molecules that interact withthis protein have not yet been identified. The protein is a memberof the tripartite motif family. This motif includes threezinc-binding domains, a RING, a B-box type 1 and a B-box type 2,and a coiled-coil region. Three alternatively spliced transcriptvariants for this gene have been described, however, thefull-length nature of one variant has not been determined.

Other Names:
E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase TRIM33, 632-, Ectodermin homolog, RET-fused gene 7 protein, Protein Rfg7, Transcription intermediary factor 1-gamma, TIF1-gamma, Tripartite motif-containing protein 33, TRIM33, KIAA1113, RFG7, TIF1G

Target/Specificity:
The synthetic peptide sequence used to generate the antibody AP13643b was selected from the C-term region of TRIM33. A 10 to 100 fold molar excess to antibody is recommended. Precise conditions should be optimized for a particular assay.

Gene Name: TRIM33

Gene ID: 51592
Primary Accession: Q9UPN9
Format: Peptides are lyophilized in a solid powder format. Peptides can be reconstituted in solution using the appropriate buffer as needed.
