Background:
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of thetripartite motif (TRIM) family. The TRIM motif includes threezinc-binding domains, a RING, a B-box type 1 and a B-box type 2,and a coiled-coil region. The protein localizes to cytoplasmicbodies. Its function has not been identified. Alternatively splicedtranscript variants that encode different isoforms have beendescribed.

Other Names:
E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase TRIM4, 632-, RING finger protein 87, Tripartite motif-containing protein 4, TRIM4, RNF87

Target/Specificity:
The synthetic peptide sequence used to generate the antibody AP13289a was selected from the N-term region of TRIM4. A 10 to 100 fold molar excess to antibody is recommended. Precise conditions should be optimized for a particular assay.

Gene Name: TRIM4

Gene ID: 89122
Primary Accession: Q9C037
Format: Peptides are lyophilized in a solid powder format. Peptides can be reconstituted in solution using the appropriate buffer as needed.
