Background:
TSPAN4 is a member of the transmembrane 4 superfamily, also known as the tetraspanin family. Most of these members are cell-surface proteins that are characterized by the presence of four hydrophobic domains. The proteins mediate signal transduction events that play a role in the regulation of cell development, activation, growth and motility. This protein is a cell surface glycoprotein and is similar in sequence to its family member CD53 antigen. It is known to complex with integrins and other transmembrane 4 superfamily proteins.

Other Names:
Tetraspanin-4, Tspan-4, Novel antigen 2, NAG-2, Transmembrane 4 superfamily member 7, TSPAN4, NAG2, TM4SF7

Target/Specificity:
The synthetic peptide sequence used to generate the antibody AP9152c was selected from the Center region of human TSPAN4. A 10 to 100 fold molar excess to antibody is recommended. Precise conditions should be optimized for a particular assay.

Gene Name: TSPAN4

Gene ID: 7106
Primary Accession: O14817
Format: Peptides are lyophilized in a solid powder format. Peptides can be reconstituted in solution using the appropriate buffer as needed.
