Background:
Microtubules of the eukaryotic cytoskeleton perform essential and diverse functions and are composed of a heterodimer of alpha and beta tubulin. The genes encoding these microtubule constituents are part of the tubulin superfamily, which is composed of six distinct families. Genes from the alpha, beta and gamma tubulin families are found in all eukaryotes. The alpha and beta tubulins represent the major components of microtubules, while gamma tubulin plays a critical role in the nucleation of microtubule assembly. There are multiple alpha and beta tubulin genes and they are highly conserved among and between species. This gene encodes an alpha tubulin that is a highly conserved homolog of a rat testis-specific alpha tubulin. [provided by RefSeq]1.
Alternative Name:
TUBA4A, Tubulin alpha 4A chain, tubulin, alpha 4a, TUBA1, Tubulin alpha 1 chain, FLJ30169
Application Dilution: WB: 1:500~1:2000, IHC: 1:50~1:200
Specificity: TUBA4A polyclonal antibody detects endogenous levels of TUBA4A protein.
Immunogen:
Recombinant full length Human TUBA4A.
MW: ~ 55 kDa
Swis Prot.: P68366
Purification & Purity:
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen and the purity is > 95% (by SDS-PAGE).
Format:
1 mg/ml in Phosphate buffered saline (PBS) with 0.05% sodium azide, approx. pH 7.2.
Storage:
Store at 4°C short term. Aliquot and store at -20°C long term. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
