Background:
The modification of proteins with ubiquitin is animportant cellular mechanism for targeting abnormal or short-livedproteins for degradation. Ubiquitination involves at least threeclasses of enzymes: ubiquitin-activating enzymes, or E1s,ubiquitin-conjugating enzymes, or E2s, and ubiquitin-proteinligases, or E3s. This gene encodes a member of the E2ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme family. This enzyme is located in themembrane of the endoplasmic reticulum. Multiple alternativelyspliced transcript variants have been found for this gene, but thefull-length nature of some variants has not been defined. [providedby RefSeq].
Other Names:
Ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme E2 J2, Non-canonical ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme 2, NCUBE-2, UBE2J2, NCUBE2
Gene Name: UBE2J2
Gene ID: 118424
Primary Accession: Q8N2K1
Format: Peptides are lyophilized in a solid powder format. Peptides can be reconstituted in solution using the appropriate buffer as needed.
