Urocortin II (UCN2) is a 41aa long endogenous peptide (human) in the corticotrophin-releasing factor (CRF) family. UCN2 decreases food intake and delays gastric emptying activity. Urocortin II is a specific ligand for the corticotropin-releasing hormone receptor type 2 (CRHR2), therefore acts as the endogenous ligand for maintaining homeostasis after stress.
