Description:
Uroguanylin Peptide is a 16-aa natriuretic peptide secreted by enterochromaffin cells in the duodenum and proximal small intestine. Like guanylin, uroguanylin is an endogenous activator of the intestinal guanylate cyclase. It regulates electrolyte and water transport in intestinal and renal epithelia.
