AC-BP14035b
Background:
The protein encoded by this gene is a peripheral membraneprotein which recycles between the cytosol and the Golgi apparatusduring interphase. It is regulated by phosphorylation:dephosphorylated protein associates with the Golgi membrane anddissociates from the membrane upon phosphorylation. Ras-associatedprotein 1 recruits this protein to coat protein complex II (COPII)vesicles during budding from the endoplasmic reticulum, where itinteracts with a set of COPII vesicle-associated SNAREs to form acis-SNARE complex that promotes targeting to the Golgi apparatus.Transport from the ER to the cis/medial Golgi compartments requiresthe action of this gene product, GM130 and giantin in a sequentialmanner.
Other Names:
General vesicular transport factor p115, Protein USO1 homolog, Transcytosis-associated protein, TAP, Vesicle-docking protein, USO1, VDP
Target/Specificity:
The synthetic peptide sequence used to generate the antibody AP14035b was selected from the C-term region of USO1. A 10 to 100 fold molar excess to antibody is recommended. Precise conditions should be optimized for a particular assay.
Gene Name: USO1
Gene ID: 8615
Primary Accession: O60763
Format: Peptides are lyophilized in a solid powder format. Peptides can be reconstituted in solution using the appropriate buffer as needed.
