Background:
Modification of cellular proteins by ubiquitin is an essential regulatory mechanism controlled by the coordinated action of multiple ubiquitin-conjugating and deubiquitinating enzymes. USP24 belongs to a large family of cysteine proteases that function as deubiquitinating enzymes.

Other Names:
Ubiquitin carboxyl-terminal hydrolase 24, Deubiquitinating enzyme 24, Ubiquitin thioesterase 24, Ubiquitin-specific-processing protease 24, USP24, KIAA1057

Target/Specificity:
The synthetic peptide sequence used to generate the antibody AP1914a was selected from the N-term region of human USP24. A 10 to 100 fold molar excess to antibody is recommended. Precise conditions should be optimized for a particular assay.

Gene Name: USP24

Gene ID: 23358
Primary Accession: Q9UPU5
Format: Peptides are lyophilized in a solid powder format. Peptides can be reconstituted in solution using the appropriate buffer as needed.
