Background:
YWHAE belongs to the 14-3-3 family of proteinswhich mediate signal transduction by binding tophosphoserine-containing proteins. This highly conserved proteinfamily is found in both plants and mammals, and this protein is100% identical to the mouse ortholog. It interacts with CDC25phosphatases, RAF1 and IRS1 proteins, suggesting its role indiverse biochemical activities related to signal transduction, suchas cell division and regulation of insulin sensitivity. It has alsobeen implicated in the pathogenesis of small cell lung cancer.
Other Names:
14-3-3 protein epsilon, 14-3-3E, YWHAE
Gene Name: YWHAE
Gene ID: 7531
Primary Accession: P62258
Format: Peptides are lyophilized in a solid powder format. Peptides can be reconstituted in solution using the appropriate buffer as needed.
